Our take on the Orren Ellis 68.9" 2-Bird Silver LED Novelty Floor Lamp with Outlet

The Orren Ellis 2-Bird floor lamp is a 68.9-inch novelty piece: a silver metal body with two sculpted birds and a thousand-paper-crane motif, topped by PVC shades lit by LEDs. It stands 69 inches tall with a 14-inch base and reaches 29.5 inches deep, and it includes a built-in outlet and a foot switch. It is a statement decor lamp for a modern living room or reading corner, not a task light. No current store price was provided, so check the price history before buying.

Questions and answers

Is this lamp bright enough to read by?
It has two LED lights under PVC shades, which suits ambient and accent lighting. For focused reading, pair it with a dedicated task lamp.
What does the built-in outlet power?
The outlet lets you plug in a phone charger, small fan or another low-draw device at the base. Check the lamp's rating before plugging in anything high-wattage.
How much floor space does it need?
The base is 14 inches wide and the lamp reaches 29.5 inches deep, so allow about 2.5 feet of clearance from a wall or sofa.
Does it have a dimmer?
No dimmer is listed. It uses a foot switch for on and off, so brightness is fixed.
Is it safe for a home with kids or pets?
The metal base is weighted and the foot switch keeps hands off the cord, but the tall frame can tip if pushed. Anchor it or keep it out of high-traffic paths.
When is the best time to buy it?
Watch the price history around major sales events and compare across stores. Novelty lighting often discounts during holiday promotions.
