Our take on the Ou 49 L Laundry Basket with Bamboo Lid Beige

The Ou 49L Laundry Basket is a beige fabric hamper with a bamboo lid that hides the load and doubles as a small side table. It stands 22 inches tall and holds 49 liters, roughly two to three loads of laundry. The lid keeps clothes out of sight and slows odors in a bedroom or bathroom. At $44.48 at eBay as of November 8, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is 49L big enough for a family?
It suits one or two people. A family of four will likely fill it in a day or two and may want a larger hamper.
Does the lid attach to the basket?
No. The bamboo lid rests on top and must be lifted off by hand. There is no hinge or pedal.
Can it go in a bathroom?
Yes, the fabric and bamboo handle normal bathroom humidity. Keep it off wet floors and don't put damp towels inside.
How tall is it?
It stands 22 inches high, so it sits below most nightstands and vanity counters.
Is $44.48 a good price?
