Questions and answers

Is this light worth it over a plain outdoor wall light?
If you want color scenes, holiday lighting and Alexa voice control, it adds features a plain fixture cannot match. If you only need steady white light for safety, a simpler hardwired light costs less and has fewer things to set up.
Does it work with Google Home or Apple HomeKit?
Only Amazon Alexa is listed as supported. Check the manufacturer's app requirements before buying if your smart home runs on Google or Apple.
Can I install it myself?
It is direct wired electric, so it replaces an existing outdoor fixture's wiring. If you are not comfortable shutting off the circuit and connecting wires, hire an electrician.
Does it give off enough white light, or only color?
It has RGBIC plus warm and cool white modes, so it can run as a normal white porch light. Exact brightness in lumens is not stated, so compare that figure if you need strong illumination.
What comes in the box?
Typically the fixture, mounting hardware and instructions. Confirm the contents and whether a bulb or LED module is included with the seller before ordering.
When is it cheapest?
Outdoor lighting tends to drop around holiday sales and at the end of summer. Check the price history on this page to see whether the current price is near its low.
