Our take on the Pacific Coast Lighting Alese Table Lamp

The Pacific Coast Lighting Alese is a 23.5-inch accent table lamp with a brown jug-shaped body finished in a textured dot pattern and topped with a 15-inch hardback linen drum shade. It takes one standard-base bulb up to 150 watts and switches on and off with a rotary knob at the socket. The look leans coastal rustic and modern farmhouse, so it suits side tables, consoles and guest rooms more than task lighting. Its best new price is $88.99 at Macy's as of November 4, 2026, the only new listing tracked, so there is no recent price range to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is the Alese lamp worth $88.99?
At $88.99 at Macy's as of November 4, 2026, it is a reasonable price for a 23.5-inch lamp with a 15-inch linen drum shade. Comparable accent lamps with fabric shades often cost more, so the value is solid if the brown textured finish fits your room.
What bulb does it take?
It uses one standard-base (E26) bulb up to 150 watts. An LED in the 9- to 15-watt range gives similar brightness with far less heat.
Does it have a dimmer?
No. The switch is a rotary on/off knob at the socket, so brightness is set only by the bulb you choose.
Is the lamp big enough for a bedside table?
It is 23.5 inches tall with a 15-inch shade, which is on the large side for a small nightstand. It fits better on a substantial side table, console or dresser.
Is a bulb included?
No, the bulb is sold separately. Plan on buying one standard-base bulb.
When is it cheapest?
Only one new listing is tracked, $88.99 at Macy's as of November 4, 2026, so there is no recent low to time a purchase around. Watch for storewide lamp sales at Macy's.
