Our take on the PATSBA King Bamboo Extra Thick Plush Mattress Topper

The PATSBA King Bamboo Extra Thick Plush Mattress Topper is a 2-inch down-alternative pillow-top topper with a bamboo cover, sold in Twin XL, Full, Queen, Short Queen and California King. It is built to soften a firm mattress rather than fix a worn one, and the elastic corner straps and double-border pillow-top construction keep it in place. It is machine washable, which is unusual for a topper this thick. No current price was supplied, so check the live comparison before buying.

Best for
Softening a too-firm mattress
Guest beds and spare rooms
Shoppers who want a washable topper

Pros
  • 2-inch plush down-alternative fill adds noticeable cushioning
  • Bamboo cover is breathable and feels cooler than polyester
  • Machine washable, unlike most thick pillow-top toppers
  • Elastic corner straps hold it on the mattress
  • Double-border construction keeps the fill from shifting to the edges
Cons
  • Plush fill compresses over time, especially under heavier sleepers
  • 2 inches is too thin to rescue a sagging or worn mattress
  • Down alternative can sleep warmer than real down for some
  • Only adult sizes; no crib or split king options
  • Bamboo covers usually need a cool, gentle wash cycle

Questions and answers

Is this topper worth it?
It is worth it if you want to soften a firm but structurally sound mattress for a modest cost. It will not fix a sagging or lumpy mattress, and the plush fill will compress over time.
Will it make my mattress feel much softer?
It adds 2 inches of plush down-alternative fill, which is a moderate change, not a transformation. Most owners notice a softer surface, but a very firm mattress will still feel firm underneath.
Does it sleep hot?
The bamboo cover is breathable and cooler than a polyester cover, but down-alternative fill traps some heat. Hot sleepers should pair it with a breathable mattress protector.
What sizes are available?
Twin XL, Full, Queen, Short Queen and California King. There is no King size listed, so check the size chart before ordering for a standard King bed.
Can I machine wash it?
Yes, it is machine washable. Use a cool, gentle cycle and tumble dry low, and make sure it is fully dry before putting it back on the bed.
When is it cheapest?
Topper prices usually dip during mattress sales around Memorial Day, Labor Day and Black Friday. Check the price history on this page to see whether the current price is near its low.
