How often do I replace the cartridge?

Every 4-6 months, or sooner if your tap water is heavily chlorinated or sediment-heavy. The replacement is the AWP175 cartridge.

Will it fit my shower head?

It installs inline on a standard shower arm and works with fixed, handheld and rainfall heads. Check that your head's thread matches the unit's fitting before buying.

Does it really soften water?

Only mildly. Philips lists softening as a secondary treatment; it is not a salt-based softener and won't fix severe hardness or scale.

The filter unit with one KDF cartridge included. No shower head or extra cartridges are part of the package.

Will it reduce my shower pressure?

The rated flow is 8 L/min, which is fine for a standard head but noticeably lower than unrestricted flow, especially with large rainfall heads.
