Our take on the Piccalio Pikler Climbing Triangle

The Piccalio Pikler Climbing Triangle is a foldable wooden climbing frame for children roughly 6 months to 8 years, sold as a set with a reversible ramp that works as a rock wall or slide. It is built from 13-ply formaldehyde-free Euro birch and pine rods with a zero-VOC UV-cured finish, weighs 13 lbs, and folds flat for storage. The frame is rated to hold at least 100 lbs per child and the open footprint with the ramp attached is about 64 x 28 inches. The only new price listed is $359 at Etsy as of November 4, 2026, with no other new-store price to compare against.

Pros

  • Zero-VOC finish and formaldehyde-free plywood
  • Certified by the Pikler Organization and CPC-tested to ASTM F963
Cons

  • Screw-on folding hardware makes daily folding slow
  • Indoor use only
  • Ramp is included but sold as a set, so no cheaper frame-only option listed
