Is the Polar Vantage V3 worth it?

Yes for runners and triathletes who want accurate GPS, heart rate and recovery tools in one watch. Casual users may find the $488.99 price hard to justify over cheaper Polar models.

How does it compare with the Vantage V2?

The V3 adds an AMOLED touchscreen, dual-band GPS, wrist ECG, SpO2 and skin temperature sensing. The V2 has a smaller, dimmer display but longer battery life.

How long does the battery last?

Polar rates it for days rather than weeks, and always-on display and GPS use cut that further. Expect to charge roughly every few days with regular training.

Does it work with Strava and Komoot?

Yes. It syncs activities to Strava and Komoot and works with the Polar Flow app on iOS and Android over Bluetooth LE.

It is water resistant to 50 meters, so pool and open-water swimming are fine. It is not rated for diving.

The watch, a charging cable and a quick-start guide. A chest strap is not included.
