Does it work without a MagSafe case?
No. PopSockets says you need a MagSafe-compatible case for a secure attachment. A bare iPhone 16 has MagSafe magnets, but a plain non-MagSafe case weakens the hold.
Can I wirelessly charge with it on?
It is wireless charging compatible, but in practice most people remove it or use a MagSafe charger. A thick grip between the phone and pad can stop the charge.
