Is the Indio sofa worth it over a cheaper metal-frame sofa?

If you want a wood look and a 800 lb capacity, the Indio is the sturdier pick. Metal or resin sofas cost less but usually look less like indoor furniture.

Does it come with cushions?

Yes. The listing includes cushions in biscotti. The frame is weathered gray wood.

How much assembly does it need?

Assembly is required. Expect to attach the legs and frame sections; budget an hour or two and a second person for the 76.5 lb frame.

Can it stay outside in the rain?

It is built for outdoor use with fade-resistant cushions, but the wood is stained, not sealed plastic. Cover it or store cushions when not in use to protect the finish.

How many people does it seat?

It is a three-seat sofa at 72.5 inches wide. The 800 lb capacity covers three average adults.

When is the best time to buy?

Outdoor furniture tends to be discounted late in the season, around August and September, and again at end-of-year clearance. Watch the price history for dips.

Our take on the Pottery Barn Indio Wood Sofa Bundle

The Pottery Barn Indio Wood Sofa is a three-seat outdoor couch with a hand-painted, stained wood frame in weathered gray and biscotti cushions. It measures 72.5 inches wide and 30.5 inches deep, seats up to 800 lbs, and ships with cushions; assembly is required. It is a premium patio piece, so expect to pay a furniture-store price rather than a big-box one.
