Our take on the POVISON Mid-Century Modern TV Stand with Sliding Door

The POVISON Mid-Century Modern TV Stand is a brown engineered-wood media console with a sliding-door cabinet, styled after 1950s walnut furniture. The sliding door hides clutter without swinging into the room, which matters in tight living rooms. It is a small-brand piece sold through one store, and at $1,275 at Wayfair as of November 3, 2026 it sits at its only listed new price, with no cheaper new option tracked.

Pros
  • Sliding door saves floor space versus hinged doors
  • Closed cabinet hides cables, remotes and consoles
  • Mid-century tapered-leg look suits many decors
  • Engineered wood keeps the price below solid walnut
Cons
  • $1,275 is high for engineered wood
  • Only one store lists it new, so little price competition
  • Sliding hardware and veneer are the usual wear points on this type
  • Brown finish limits pairing with gray or black furniture

Questions and answers

Is $1,275 a good price for this TV stand?
It is the only new price tracked, $1,275 at Wayfair as of November 3, 2026, so there is no lower recent price to compare against. Similar mid-century engineered-wood consoles often sell for less, so you are paying for the design.
What size TV does it fit?
The listing does not state a maximum TV size. Measure the top and compare it with your TV's width plus a few inches on each side before buying.
Does the sliding door need clearance?
No. The door slides along the cabinet face, so it needs no swing space, which suits narrow rooms and hallways.
What is it made of?
Engineered wood with a brown finish. Expect a wood-grain veneer over particle or MDF board rather than solid wood.
Does it come assembled?
Flat-pack assembly is typical for this type of console. Plan for a couple of hours and two people.
When is it cheapest?
With one store listing it, discounts are likely tied to Wayfair sales events. Watch the price history around major holiday sales.
What do buyers say about the POVISON Mid-Century Modern TV Stand with Sliding Door?
