Our take on the Pre-lit Artificial Christmas Tree Fiber Optic Tree

A small pre-lit artificial fir with fiber optic strands that glow in multi-color, 24 lights in all. At 23.5 inches wide it suits a tabletop or floor corner rather than a full room. The best new price is $41.99 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no cheaper alternative to compare against.

Pros
  • Lights are built in, so no separate string lights to buy or untangle
  • Fiber optic strands give a color-changing glow
  • Compact 23.5-inch width fits tables and tight corners
  • Rated for outdoor use as well as indoor
  • Low price for a lit tree
Cons
  • Only 24 lights, so the glow is sparse
  • Plastic fir looks less full than a real or higher-end artificial tree
  • 3.5 out of 5 from 22 ratings is middling
  • Single seller at $41.99, so no price competition
  • Fiber optic strands can fail and are hard to repair

Questions and answers

Is this tree worth $41.99?
For a small, already-lit tree it is a fair price, and it is the only new listing as of November 5, 2026. Expect a sparse glow rather than a full, bright tree.
How big is it?
It is 23.5 inches wide, sized for a tabletop or a floor corner. It is not a full-size living room tree.
Can it go outside?
The listing says it is suitable for outdoor use. Even so, keep the electrical parts sheltered from rain and snow.
Does it need extra lights?
No. The 24 multi-color fiber optic lights are built in. Some owners add a string of lights because the built-in glow is sparse.
How many lights does it have?
24 multi-color lights. That is low for a tree this size, which is the most common complaint.
When is it cheapest?
Christmas trees usually drop after Thanksgiving and clear out in early January. With one seller at $41.99, watch for a markdown rather than a store-to-store difference.
Where is the Pre-lit Artificial Christmas Tree Fiber Optic Tree cheapest?
At Walmart, for $41.99, as of our latest check.
