Prime 16HD Reef

The AI Prime 16HD is a customizable LED light for saltwater aquariums. It's a full spectrum light that includes a moonlight channel. AI Prime 16HD is ideal for small to medium reef tanks. It has a spread of 24 inches by 24 inches and a peak PAR of 100 Mol at a depth of 24 inches.

AI Prime 16HD is a great upgrade for stock lights on saltwater aquariums. It's perfect for keeping SPS, LPS, and soft corals. A single light will keep corals photosynthesizing in a nano tank. Larger or deeper tanks will need multiple lights. The AI Prime 16HD has 80 degree lenses that provide a balance of power and spread. The lenses are custom designed and have a diffuse exit surface for improved color blending.

The mount is made of high-quality brushed aluminum and comes in black or silver. AI Prime 16HD is one of the most popular reef tank LED lighting options. It's expected to last over 5-7 years with a 10 hour per day photoperiod. AI Prime 16HD shares the same cluster as the Hydra 32HD and Hydra 64HD. The Prime 16HD incorporates 16 LEDs (+1 Moonlight) and an all new TIR optic.

Redesigning the plastics in the Prime and Hydra lineup has resulted in two major benefits: better efficiency and better aesthetics. Efficiency improvements reduce the demands on active cooling for longer component life. Improvements to design thin the fixtures and reduce their profile and presence over your aquarium.

Water resistance is a major benefit in aquarium lighting - and while the new Primes are not waterproof, design improvements make them more capable of facing the moisture rich adventures of reef keeping.

Moonlight:

A dedicated moonlight LED and channel has been added in the new Prime HD modules. This allows for independent moonlighting designed to simulate the natural lunar color and intensity.
