Our take on the Project Source Oak Brook 18-in W x 35-in H x 23.75-in D Natural Unfinished Oak Drawer Base Fully Assembled Cabinet Flat Panel Slab

The Project Source Oak Brook is an 18-inch-wide, fully assembled base cabinet with a single reversible shaker door, one shelf and a solid oak face frame over a furniture-board box. It ships unfinished, so you stain or paint it to match your kitchen. The listing dimensions conflict: the name says 35 in high and 23.75 in deep, while the spec sheet says 30 in high and 12 in deep, so measure before you buy. No price was given for this page, so check the current best price against its recent range before ordering.

Questions and answers

Is this cabinet really 35 inches high?
The product name says 35 in high and 23.75 in deep, but the spec sheet lists 30 in high and 12 in deep. Confirm the actual dimensions with the store before you order, since base cabinets are usually about 34.5 in high.
Does it come assembled?
Yes. It arrives fully assembled with the door and shelf in place, so you only need to set it, level it and attach it to the wall or neighboring cabinets.
Can I use it in a bathroom or laundry room?
The listing says it is not moisture resistant. In a damp room, seal all sides and edges well and keep it away from direct water, or choose a cabinet rated for moisture.
What finish should I use on the unfinished oak?
Sand lightly, then apply stain, paint or a clear polyurethane. Seal the inside and the cut edges too, since bare oak and furniture board stain and swell easily.
Is it worth it over a finished cabinet?
It is worth it if you want to match an existing finish or save on a ready-made cabinet. A factory-finished cabinet saves labor and handles moisture better, so compare the total cost including stain and sealer.
