Our take on the Puma Shadowcat Nitro 2.0 Spikeless Golf Shoes

The Puma Shadowcat Nitro 2.0 is a spikeless golf shoe built on Puma's Nitro foam midsole, with a bold, layered upper and a wide, stable base. It is aimed at golfers who want sneaker-like comfort for walking rounds without giving up grip. The best new price is $159.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, with three stores listing it new. That is close to the top of what this shoe has sold for recently, so it is not a markdown moment.

Pros
  • Nitro foam midsole gives soft, springy cushioning underfoot
  • Spikeless outsole with a spread traction pattern works on and off the course
  • Wide, low platform adds stability through the swing
  • Bold layered upper stands out from plain golf shoes
  • Comfortable enough to wear straight from the box
Cons
  • Spikeless rubber lugs give less bite in wet or soft conditions than removable spikes
  • Bold styling is polarizing; not a classic look
  • At $159.99 it sits near full retail, with little discount
  • Limited size and color availability at the three stores listing it
  • Water resistance is modest compared with spiked leather models

Questions and answers

Is the Shadowcat Nitro 2.0 worth $159.99?
If you walk often and want Nitro cushioning with a stable base, yes. If you play in wet conditions or want maximum grip, a spiked shoe at a similar price is the safer buy.
How does it compare with the original Shadowcat Nitro?
The 2.0 keeps the Nitro foam and spikeless outsole but updates the upper and refines the fit. The ride is similar; the main change is styling and slightly better lockdown.
Are these shoes good for walking 18 holes?
Yes. The Nitro midsole is soft and the shoe is light, which is the main reason owners rate it well. The wide platform helps on long walks.
Do they run true to size?
They generally run true to size in medium width. Golfers between sizes or with wide feet should consider going up a half size.
Can I wear them in wet weather?
Light dew is fine, but the spikeless lugs and modest water resistance struggle on soaked fairways. They are best for dry or firm conditions.
When is the best time to buy?
Prices tend to drop when Puma releases the next model or during end-of-season sales. At $159.99 as of November 4, 2026, it is near full price.
Where is the Puma Shadowcat Nitro 2.0 Spikeless Golf Shoes cheapest?
At Walmart, for $159.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Puma Shadowcat Nitro 2.0 Spikeless Golf Shoes?
Rated 4.8 out of 5 from 9 ratings.
Where can I buy the Puma Shadowcat Nitro 2.0 Spikeless Golf Shoes?
11 stores we checked sell it, including eBay, Walmart, DICK'S Sporting Goods, fairwaystyles.com, GlobalGolf.
