Our take on the Pure Majesty Pets Advanced Hip & Joint Chews

These are soft chews for dogs that combine 18 joint-support ingredients, including glucosamine HCl, chondroitin, MSM, UC-II collagen, green-lipped mussel, turmeric, boswellia, ginger, eggshell membrane and hyaluronic acid. The formula is broad for a single chew, covering both cartilage building blocks and anti-inflammatory botanicals. No price data is available for this product, so it is not possible to say where its current cost sits against its recent range.

Best forSenior dogs with stiffness or slowing on walksLarge and giant breeds prone to joint wearDogs recovering from orthopedic surgery or injury
Owners who want one multi-ingredient chew instead of several supplements
Pros
  • Covers glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM, the core trio vets most often recommend
  • Adds UC-II collagen and hyaluronic acid for cartilage and joint fluid support
  • Includes turmeric, boswellia and ginger for inflammation and comfort
  • Green-lipped mussel and eggshell membrane broaden the ingredient list
  • Soft chew format is easier to dose than tablets or powders
Cons
  • 18 ingredients means more chances for a sensitive dog to react to something
  • No published price data, so value per dose cannot be checked
  • Dosing depends on the label's glucosamine and MSM amounts, which are not shown here
  • Soft chews can be eaten as treats, so multi-dog homes need to store them out of reach

Questions and answers

Is this chew worth it compared with a plain glucosamine tablet?
It gives more than glucosamine: chondroitin, MSM, UC-II collagen, green-lipped mussel and several botanicals in one chew. That suits dogs with moderate stiffness, but a dog that only needs basic glucosamine may do fine with a cheaper single-ingredient product.
How is this different from a standard hip and joint chew?
Most standard chews stop at glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM. This one adds UC-II collagen, hyaluronic acid, eggshell membrane, green-lipped mussel, turmeric, boswellia and ginger, so it is aimed at broader joint and inflammation support.
How long before I see a difference?
Joint supplements typically need four to eight weeks of daily use before owners notice less stiffness or easier movement. Severe or sudden lameness needs a vet visit, not a chew.
Can I give these to a puppy or a cat?
They are formulated for dogs, and the label dose is set by body weight. Puppies and cats should only get them on a vet's advice, since the ingredient levels are built for adult dogs.
What is in the box?
A single tub or bag of soft chews in the size you order. The exact chew count and dose per chew are printed on the package label, so check that before comparing cost per day.
When is the best time to buy?
No price history is available for this product, so there is no reliable cheapest period to point to. Compare the cost per chew across sizes before buying.
