Is this rug really machine washable?

Yes. It is microfiber with a sponge backing and is labeled machine washable. A 5' x 7' rug needs a large-capacity or commercial machine; otherwise spot clean or use a laundromat.

Does it need a rug pad?

No. The sponge backing is non-slip, so it grips hard floors on its own. A pad would only add cushioning, since the pile is just 0.19 in.

Will it lie flat after shipping?

It ships folded, so expect creases. Most owners report it flattens within a few days, and a quick tumble on low heat or a wash speeds that up.

Is it good for homes with pets?

Yes. The low pile traps less hair and the rug can be washed, which is the main reason buyers choose it. The beige color does show muddy paw prints.

Is $42.29 a good price?

It is the only new price listed, $42.29 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, and it is low for a 5' x 7' washable rug. Without other stores to compare, judge it against similar washable rugs rather than waiting for a drop.

What sizes and colors are available?

The line comes in multiple sizes and colors; this listing is the 5' x 7' rectangle in beige. Check the size and color name before ordering, since the actual color is listed as A-Beige.

Our take on the PURECOZY Washable Christmas Rugs

The PURECOZY Washable Christmas Rug is a 5' x 7' rectangular microfiber area rug with a distressed vintage Oriental pattern in beige and a sponge backing. Its selling point is practicality: it is machine washable, non-slip, and thin at 0.19 in pile, so it suits busy homes with pets and kids. The only new price listed is $42.29 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, which is low for a 5' x 7' washable rug and makes it a budget pick rather than a premium one.
