Is the Braun PureFlavor worth it at $79.95?

At $79.95 at Amazon as of November 7, 2026, it is priced at the low end of its recent range. You get a programmable 12-cup brewer with a water filter, strength selector and permanent filter, which is uncommon at this price.

Does it come with a permanent filter or do I need paper filters?

It ships with a permanent filter, so paper filters are optional. Some owners still use paper for easier cleanup.

How often does the water filter need changing?

Braun rates the filter for a set number of brew cycles, so heavy daily use means more frequent changes. Check the manual for the cycle count and replace it when the indicator or schedule calls for it.

Can I set it the night before?

Yes. It is programmable, so you can load grounds and water and set a brew time. The auto shutoff turns the hotplate off after the keep-warm period.

How tall is it, and will it fit under my cabinets?

It is 14.2 inches high and 7.9 inches wide. Measure your clearance under the upper cabinets and allow room to lift the lid and pour water.

When is the best time to buy it?

Drip brewers usually dip during holiday sales and back-to-school promotions. With 9 stores listing it, compare prices before buying rather than assuming one store is lowest.
