Our take on the Puregear 20W PD USB-C Wall Charger

The Puregear 20W PD USB-C Wall Charger is a single-port wall adapter that uses USB Power Delivery to fast-charge phones and small tablets. It accepts 12-230V input, so it works on US and European outlets with a plug adapter. At 20W it matches the wattage Apple ships with newer iPhones and covers most phones, but it will not fast-charge larger tablets or laptops.

Questions and answers

Will this fast-charge an iPhone?: Yes. It delivers 20W over USB Power Delivery, which is the fast-charge rate for iPhone 12 and later. You need a USB-C to Lightning cable for older iPhones or a USB-C to USB-C cable for iPhone 15 and later.
Can it charge a laptop or iPad?: Not at full speed. At 20W it can trickle-charge a tablet or laptop but will be very slow. Use a 30W or higher charger for an iPad Air or MacBook.
Does it work in Europe?: The charger accepts 12-230V input, so it works on European 230V power. You still need a plug adapter for EU outlets, since the plug is not included.
Is a cable included?: No. The box contains the wall charger only, so you need your own USB-C cable.
Can I charge two devices at once?: No. It has a single USB-C port, so only one device at a time.
