Is $38.35 a real price for this king bed?

Newegg lists it at $38.35 as of November 7, 2026, and it is the only new price found. That is far below typical solid-wood king platform beds, so confirm the listing is for the full king bed before ordering.

Does this bed need a box spring?

No. Slats are included and the bed is a platform design, so a mattress sits directly on the slats.

What mattress size fits?

It is a king bed, so use a standard king mattress, about 76 by 80 inches. The frame's 80 by 76 inch footprint matches that size.

How much assembly is involved?

Assembly is required. Expect to join the side rails, slats and headboard, which usually takes two people for a king frame.

How much weight will it hold?

The listed capacity is 800 lb, which covers the mattress plus sleepers. That is above average for a king platform bed.

When is the price lowest?

Only one new price is on record, $38.35 at Newegg as of November 7, 2026, so there is no history to show a typical low point. Check back for more store prices before buying.
