Our take on the QuickLock Cabinets Raw Hickory Wall Kitchen Cabinet 18"

The QuickLock Cabinets Raw Hickory wall cabinet is an 18-inch-wide, 30-inch-tall ready-to-assemble wall unit with a natural hickory face and a quick-lock assembly system that snaps and locks panels without glue or special tools. Raw hickory is a hard, heavy domestic wood with strong grain and color variation, so expect visible knots and a mix of light and dark tones across doors. It suits a single upper in a kitchen, laundry or garage where you want solid wood without a full cabinet order. No current price was provided for this listing, so check the latest quote against other QuickLock Hickory wall units before buying.

Questions and answers

Is this cabinet worth it over a pre-assembled hickory upper?
If you are comfortable with basic assembly, the quick-lock build saves on shipping and lets you finish the wood yourself. Pre-assembled hickory uppers cost more but arrive square and ready to hang.
How hard is the QuickLock assembly?
Panels align and lock with the supplied connectors, so most people need only a screwdriver and a rubber mallet. Check square before the final locks and allow an hour or two for one cabinet.
Does raw hickory need finishing?
Yes. Raw hickory should be sanded and sealed or stained before installation to protect it from moisture and grease. Hickory takes stain unevenly, so test on a scrap first.
Will the 30-inch depth fit my kitchen?
A 30-inch-deep wall cabinet projects far past standard 12-inch uppers and can block counters and walkways. Measure clearance to the counter and any door swing before ordering.
What comes in the box?
Expect flat-packed panels, the quick-lock connectors, and assembly instructions. Hinges, handles and mounting hardware are usually sold separately, so confirm before checkout.
When is the best time to buy?
Cabinet pricing often drops during kitchen and remodeling sales in spring and around major holiday weekends. Compare the current quote with other QuickLock Hickory wall sizes before ordering.
