About This Product

ROCKWOOL ComfortBatt R-15 is an unfaced stone wool thermal insulation batt measuring 3-1/2 in. thick by 15-1/4 in. wide by 47 in. long, sized to fill a 2x4 cavity framed on 16 in. centers. One compression-packed bag holds 12 pieces and covers 59.7 sq. ft. The R-15 Rockwool 3-1/2 in. x 15-1/4 in. x 47 in. (59.7 sq. ft.) ComfortBatt Stone Wool Insulation Batt is slightly oversized so it friction-fits into the cavity and stays put without staples or facing, which keeps a consistent R-value across the wall with no gaps or slumping. Stone wool is non-combustible, water repellent and resistant to mold and mildew, and it adds sound reduction along with its thermal performance. It is used in exterior walls, ceilings, attics, floors, crawlspaces and basements over wood framing, and cuts cleanly with a serrated insulation knife.
