Our take on the Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

The Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro is a full-size wired mechanical gaming keyboard with Razer Orange tactile switches, per-key Chroma RGB plus underglow, a command dial, and eight dedicated macro keys. It targets gamers who want macro-heavy layouts and lots of lighting control rather than a compact board. Its price history in the tracked window is flat: $99.99 at Razer as of October 28, 2026, which is also the only recorded low and high.

Questions and answers

Is the BlackWidow V4 Pro worth it?
If you want a full-size board with a macro column, a command dial and heavy RGB, it is a strong pick. If you want wireless or a compact layout, look elsewhere.
How does it compare with the BlackWidow V3 Pro?
The V4 Pro adds a command dial, eight macro keys and underglow, and it is wired only. The V3 Pro offered wireless, so choose based on whether you need cable-free use.
Are the Orange switches loud?
No. Orange switches are tactile but quiet, with no click. They are a better fit for shared rooms than Razer's clicky Green switches.
Does it work with a Mac?
Yes, it is listed as compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux. Some Razer Synapse features may be limited on Mac and Linux.
What is in the box?
The keyboard and its attached cable, plus a wrist rest. Check the listing for any regional extras before ordering.
When is it cheapest?
The tracked price has been flat at $99.99 at Razer as of October 28, 2026. Watch for seasonal sales, since this board has sold for more outside that window.
