Is the RCA 3-device remote worth it?

For a cheap, no-frills replacement remote, yes. It covers a TV plus two devices with big backlit buttons. If you need voice control or app-based setup, look at a smart remote instead.

Does it come with batteries?

No. It takes two AAA batteries, which you need to buy separately.

How many devices can it control?

Three. A typical setup is a TV, a cable or streaming box, and a soundbar or receiver.

Will it work with my TV brand?

It uses brand codes for most major TV and cable brands. Very obscure brands may not be listed, and there is no learning mode to copy another remote.

Does it need line of sight?

Yes. It is infrared with a range of about 5 to 10 meters, so point it at the device and keep the path clear.

Budget remotes like this usually dip during back-to-school and holiday sales. Check the price history before buying.

Our take on the RCA 3-Device Universal Remote RCR003RWDE

The RCA RCR003RWDE is a basic infrared universal remote that controls up to three devices, typically a TV plus two others such as a cable box and a soundbar. It stands out for its large backlit buttons, a dedicated Guide key, and a Go Back key for jumping to the previous channel. It runs on two AAA batteries, which are not included, and works at roughly 5 to 10 meters with a clear line of sight. It is a low-cost replacement remote rather than a smart or voice remote.
