Our take on the REAL 10k Rope Chain And Cross Charm Pendant Necklace Jesus Cross Set

A solid 10k yellow gold set: a 3mm diamond-cut rope chain paired with a 1.3-inch crucifix charm, closed with a lobster clasp. The chain runs 4 to 8 grams depending on length, and the cross adds about 2.2 grams. At $741.61 at dallasgoldsource as of November 6, 2026, it is the lowest of three new-price offers, so the spread between stores is worth checking before buying.

Best forGift for a religious occasion like a baptism or First CommunionMen who want a 24-inch chain that sits over a shirtBuyers who want solid 10k gold rather than plated or filledEveryday wear that holds up to showering and sweat
Pros
  • Solid 10k yellow gold chain and pendant, not plated
  • Diamond-cut rope links catch light and hide small scratches
  • Lobster clasp is more secure than a spring ring
  • Cross is a compact 1.3 inches, so it stays subtle
  • Ships with a gift box and a My Elite Jeweler certification
Cons
  • 10k gold is 41.7% pure, so it is less yellow and worth less than 14k
  • Rope chains snag hair and clothing and collect lint
  • A 3mm chain is light for a 24-inch men's length
  • No stones and no personalization, so it is a plain set
  • Gold price drives the cost, so the price moves with the market

Questions and answers

Is this real gold or plated?
It is solid 10k yellow gold, stamped 10k, on both the chain and the cross. That means about 41.7% gold mixed with alloy, not a gold layer over brass or steel.
How much gold is in it?
The chain weighs 4 to 8 grams depending on length and the cross about 2.2 grams. At 10k, roughly 42% of that weight is pure gold.
What chain lengths are offered?
Listings show 16 to 28 inches, with 24 inches as the standard men's length. Shorter lengths suit women and children; longer ones sit over a shirt.
Will the rope chain snag hair?
Rope chains can catch on hair and knitwear because of the twisted links. Wearing it outside a collar or keeping it short reduces the problem.
Is 10k gold good enough for daily wear?
Yes. The alloy makes 10k harder and more scratch-resistant than 14k or 18k, which is why it holds up well in a chain worn every day.
Is the price fair for the gold weight?
Compare the total gram weight against the spot gold price for 10k. At $741.61 for a set of roughly 6 to 10 grams, you are paying a jewelry markup over melt value, which is normal for a finished, certified piece.
