Questions and answers

Is the Real Flame Alcott worth $1,299?
It is a large, furniture-style piece, so the price buys the mantel and finish as much as the heater. If you want a 75-inch focal point without a gas line, it is reasonable. If you only need supplemental heat, a smaller unit costs far less.
Does it need to be plugged into a special outlet?
No. It runs on a standard household outlet. Keep it on its own circuit if you plan to run the heater often.
Can I use the flames without the heat?
Yes. The flame effect runs independently, so you can have the look in summer without warming the room.
How much space does it need?
It is 75 inches wide, 45.8 inches tall and 15.75 inches deep. Leave clearance around the unit and keep it off rugs and curtains.
Is it hard to assemble?
Owners report a multi-step build, so plan for a couple of hours and two people. It is easier to assemble near its final spot than to move it afterward.
When is it cheapest?
Electric fireplaces typically discount around Black Friday and in January. The current $1,299 at Home Depot is at the high end, so waiting for a holiday sale may save money.
Where is the Real Flame Alcott 75" Electric Landscape Fireplace cheapest?
