Our take on the Red Barrel Studio Emryn 81.5'' Wide Manual Reclining Sofa

The Emryn is an 81.5-inch three-seat sofa with manual recline, upholstered in faux leather with a wide modern backrest. It seats three and lets the end seats lean back with a side lever, no power cord or outlet needed. At $579.99 at Wayfair as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no cheaper store to compare against right now.

Questions and answers

Is the Emryn reclining sofa worth it?
At $579.99 at Wayfair as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get three seats with manual recline. If you want power recline or real leather, expect to pay more elsewhere.
Does it need to be plugged in?
No. The recline is manual, worked by a side lever, so it needs no outlet and still reclines during a power outage.
How much room does it need behind it?
It is 35.4 inches deep, and manual recliners need a few inches of clearance behind the back so it can lean. Measure your wall gap before buying.
Is faux leather durable with pets?
Faux leather wipes clean easily, which helps with spills and pet hair. Claws can still scratch or puncture it, so trim nails or use a throw on the seats.
What is in the box?
One sofa, shipped in pieces with the recline mechanism attached. Assembly is mainly attaching the back and legs; check the listing for the exact tool list.
When is it cheapest?
Wayfair runs seasonal furniture sales, often around major holidays. Watch the price history here rather than assuming the current $579.99 is the floor.
Where is the Red Barrel Studio Emryn 81.5'' Wide Manual Reclining Sofa cheapest?
At Wayfair, for $579.99, 49% off, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Red Barrel Studio Emryn 81.5'' Wide Manual Reclining Sofa?
Rated 4.6 out of 5 from 267 ratings.
