- Is this the original 1999 album or a remaster?
- It is the Californication album on a 25th-anniversary colored-vinyl reissue. No separate remaster is announced for this edition; it is a repress of the original album.
- What is in the package?
- Two 180g LPs, one red and one ocean blue, plus a printed insert. It is a single album spread over two discs, not a double album of extra material.
- Is $49.99 a good price?
- It is the only new price found as of November 8, 2026. Limited colored pressings often resell above list, so $49.99 is reasonable if you want this specific colorway.
- How does it compare to the standard black vinyl?
- The music is the same. This edition adds 180g weight, red and blue discs and a Walmart-exclusive label; a standard black 2LP usually costs less.
- Is it a good pressing?
- It is pressed by GZ Media, a large European plant. Colored vinyl from GZ is generally solid, but some buyers report more surface noise than on black vinyl.
- When is it cheapest?
- Exclusive color pressings tend to be cheapest at release and rise once sold out. Watch for restocks rather than paying resale premiums.
- Where is the Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication (25th Anniversary Limited Edition Red & Blue Vinyl) - 2LP cheapest?
- At eBay, for $49.99, as of our latest check.
