Make the best use of your water sources with this sprinkler pump as part of your irrigation system. This sprinkler pump provides a steady stream of water to your sprinkler heads. With the power to pump up to 71 gallons per hour, this lawn irrigation pump feeds water to 17 4-gallon per hour sprinkler heads. This lawn and garden sprinkler pump works with any irrigation system that requires up to 44 PSI of pressure. Made for both residential and commercial use, this lawn sprinkler water pump connects to both 115-volt (standard residential) and 230-volt (standard commercial) electrical power. This electric sprinkler water pump produces up to 1.5 horsepower to draw and distribute water. Additionally, this irrigation water pump self-primes for distances up to 25 feet so you can get up and running with your sprinkler system right away. To install, you'll need 2-inch NPT piping for the suction side and 1.5-inch NPT piping for the discharge side of this irrigation sprinkler pump. We typically use PVC piping for our sprinkler systems, but you can also use polyethylene tubing. If you plan on having a straight path through your yard or garden for your sprinkler system, we would recommend PVC piping since it is more rigid. Questions and answers

Is 71 GPM enough for my sprinkler system?
At low head, yes for most residential lawns. Flow drops as pressure rises, so match it to your zone count and head sizes; the pump is rated for systems needing up to about 44 PSI.
Can it pull water from a pond 25 feet away?
It self-primes up to 25 feet of suction lift, but shorter horizontal runs and a foot valve help. Keep the suction line airtight and slope it up toward the pump.
Does it run on 115V or 230V?
Both. The motor is dual voltage, so it works on standard household 115V or commercial 230V wiring; have an electrician set the voltage to match your supply.
What pipe sizes do I need?
2-inch NPT for the suction side and 1-1/2-inch NPT for the discharge. PVC or polyethylene tubing both work.
Is it worth it over a submersible pump?
An above-ground pump like this is easier to service and cheaper to replace. A submersible is quieter and better if your water source is a deep well.
What comes in the box?
The pump itself. Suction and discharge piping, a foot valve, and a pressure switch or controller are typically bought separately.
What do buyers say about the Red Lion SPRK150 1.5 Horsepower 71 GPM Cast Iron Lawn Irrigation Sprinkler Pump?
