Questions and answers

Is Reflectix Staple Tab Insulation worth it?
Yes for radiant-heat control on ducts and joists where you can leave an air gap. It is not a stand-alone replacement for thick batt insulation in cold climates.
How much does the roll cover?
The roll is 24 inches wide by 25 feet long, about 50 square feet. That covers a typical run of duct or several joist bays.
Can I staple it directly to wood?
Yes. The tabs are made to staple to studs, joists and framing. Leave the foil face exposed to the air space for best performance.
Does it need an air gap?
Yes. Reflectix works as a radiant barrier, so it performs best with a facing air space. Pressed flat against a surface it adds little insulation.
Is it safe to use around ducts and wiring?
The foil is non-combustible, but keep it clear of heat-producing fixtures and check local code. Do not bury it against knob-and-tube wiring.
When is the price lowest?
Roll pricing moves with seasonal demand, and the best new price was $17.76 at eBay as of November 4, 2026. Compare all three stores before buying a larger quantity.
Where is the Reflectix Staple Tab Insulation ST24025 cheapest?
At Max Warehouse, for $29.26, 26% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
