Questions and answers

Is the M5 Air worth it over the M4 model?
The M5 brings a faster 10-core GPU, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, and double the base storage at 512 GB. If you already own an M4 Air, the jump is modest; coming from an Intel or M1 machine, it is a large step.
How much memory should I get?
16 GB handles browsing, Office and light photo editing. Choose 24 GB or 32 GB if you keep many browser tabs, run virtual machines, or edit 4K video, since memory cannot be upgraded later.
How long does the battery last?
Apple rates it at up to 18 hours, which usually means a full workday of mixed use. Video playback and heavy editing will cut that figure.
What is in the box?
The laptop, a 70W USB-C power adapter, and a 6.6-foot USB-C to MagSafe 3 cable. The unit carries a limited one-year manufacturer warranty.
Does it have a fan?
No. The MacBook Air is fanless, so it runs silent but slows down during long exports or sustained heavy workloads.
When is it cheapest?
Refurbished MacBook Air prices tend to dip around back-to-school season and major holiday sales, and when a newer model launches. Compare the listed price against its recent history before buying.
