Is the Renogy 200W solar blanket worth it?

It suits buyers who need light, packable 200W charging with USB-C PD and 12V/24V battery support. If you only charge a phone or power bank, a smaller and cheaper panel does the job.

Do I need a charge controller with it?

Yes for battery charging. The blanket outputs panel power, so pair it with a compatible MPPT or PWM controller sized for 200W before connecting to a 12V or 24V battery.

How fast does it charge a phone or laptop?

The USB-C port delivers up to 45W PD, enough for most laptops and fast phone charging in strong sun. The two USB-A ports are 18W each.

Can it stay outside in rain?

It is rated IP65, so it handles rain and dust. Do not submerge it, and keep the junction box and connectors out of standing water.

How big and heavy is it?

It weighs 8.82 lbs and measures about 61.4 x 31.9 x 1.5 inches unfolded. It folds for transport, so check your vehicle or pack space.
