Does this cable support fast charging?

No. It is rated at 2.1 amps over USB-A, so it charges an iPhone at standard speed. Fast charging needs a USB-C to Lightning cable and a USB-C Power Delivery charger.

How long is the cable when extended?

3 feet. That is enough to reach from a car mount, power bank or nearby outlet, but not across a room.

Is it good for travel?

Yes, that is its main strength. It retracts into a small housing, so it packs without tangling and takes little space.

Will it work with an iPhone 15?

No. iPhone 15 models use USB-C, not Lightning. This cable fits iPhones with a Lightning port, roughly the iPhone 14 and earlier.

Is $9.00 a good price?

It is low for a retractable Lightning cable. At $9.00 at eBay as of November 6, 2026, with only three stores listing it new, there is little room for a deeper discount.

The retractable cable itself. No wall charger or car adapter is included, so you supply the USB-A power source.

Our take on the Retractable Lightning Cable

The Liquipel Retractable Lightning Cable is a 3-foot MFi-style Lightning-to-USB-A cable that coils into its own housing, aimed at people who want a short cable for a bag, car or desk without tangles. It carries 2.1 amps, enough for standard iPhone charging but not for fast USB-C Power Delivery. At $9.00 at eBay as of November 6, 2026, it sits at the low end for a retractable cable; only three stores list it new, so the price is unlikely to move much.
