Our take on the RGB Solid Color 12 Pack Solar Step Lights Outdoor Waterproof IP67

A 12-pack of solar-powered step and stair lights with integrated LEDs, IP67 waterproofing and a multicolor RGB mode. Each unit puts out about 100 lm and mounts with screws or adhesive; the 1 ft cord refers to the small panel-to-light lead on models with a separate panel. No current price was given for this listing, so compare the pack price per light against other 12-packs before buying.

Best forStair and deck edges that get direct sunRenters who want no wiring
Multicolor accent lighting for patios
Buying a full set at once instead of singles
Pros
  • 12 lights cover a full staircase or deck perimeter in one purchase
  • IP67 rating handles rain and hose spray
  • Solar charging means no outlet or wiring needed
  • RGB multicolor plus a fixed white mode for everyday use
  • Integrated LEDs need no bulb replacement
Cons
  • 100 lm per light is dim for anything beyond marking an edge
  • Plastic housing and lens will yellow and scratch over time
  • Output depends heavily on sun exposure; shaded steps fade fast
  • The 120 V and 6500 K specs are inconsistent with a solar fixture, so treat them with caution
  • No smart app or remote control mentioned

Questions and answers

How bright are these in practice?
About 100 lm each, which is enough to outline a step or path but not to light an area. Expect a soft glow rather than usable task light.
Do they need direct sunlight?
Yes. The panel needs several hours of direct sun to charge the battery for a full night. In deep shade or under a roof overhang, runtime drops sharply.
Are they really waterproof?
IP67 means they survive rain and brief immersion. That covers outdoor steps, but standing water or a buried mounting point can still shorten battery life.
How do they mount?
Most sets like this include screws and adhesive pads for wood, concrete or composite steps. Check the box contents, since some packs ship with screws only.
Can I set them all to one color?
RGB step lights usually cycle colors or hold the last selected color, but each unit is independent. They will not stay perfectly in sync without a shared controller.
When is the best time to buy?
Outdoor lighting discounts cluster around spring and early summer and again in late fall clearance. A 12-pack is usually cheaper per light than buying singles.
