Is $60 a good price for the Ridgid HD09001?

Yes. At $60 at eBay as of November 6, 2026, it is low for a 9-gallon Ridgid shop vac; comparable new units usually cost more. Two stores list it new, so compare both before buying.

Can it pick up water and dry debris?

Yes. It is a wet/dry vacuum, so it takes spills and wet messes as well as dry dirt. Remove the pleated filter for wet pickup and let the drum dry before dry use.

Rated around 82 dB with the original hose attached, which is loud enough to warrant ear protection during long sessions.

What comes in the box?

The vac ships with its hose, wand and basic nozzles plus the Qwik Lock pleated filter. Check the listing for the exact accessory set, since bundles vary.

How big and heavy is it?

It measures about 18.6 in wide, 18.1 in deep and 22.9 in tall, and weighs roughly 20 lb when loaded. The drum handles help, but it is awkward on stairs.

It is set up for bagged dry pickup, so you will need bags for dust-heavy jobs. You can also run it bagless with the pleated filter.

Our take on the Ridgid HD09001 9 Gal. 4.25-Peak HP NXT Wet/Dry Shop Vacuum

The Ridgid HD09001 is a corded wet/dry shop vacuum with a 9-gallon polypropylene drum and 4.25 peak horsepower. It handles wood, carpet, bare floor, concrete and car interiors, and switches between wet pickup and dry debris without a separate unit. The Qwik Lock pleated filter pops off for cleaning, and 10 ft of cord plus 7 ft of hose give decent reach. At $60 at eBay as of November 6, 2026, it sits well below what this size of Ridgid vac usually sells for.
