Is the Ring Floodlight Cam Pro worth it at $100?

At $100 at eBay as of November 7, 2026, it is a good buy if you already have outdoor wiring where you want light and a camera. You get 2K video, bright floodlights and 3D motion tracking for less than its usual price.

Do I need a subscription to use it?

You can watch live video and get alerts without a plan. To save and review recordings, you need a Ring Protect subscription, which is sold separately.

How is it different from the standard Floodlight Cam?

The Pro adds 2K resolution, 3D motion detection and radar bird's-eye view. The standard model tops out at 1080p and lacks the bird's-eye tracking.

Does it need existing wiring?

Yes. It is a wired fixture that replaces an outdoor floodlight or junction box and needs standard household power. There is no battery option.

Does it work with Alexa and Google Assistant?

Yes. You can view the feed on Echo Show or Google smart displays and use voice commands. Full features work best in the Alexa app.

Ring cameras usually drop around Prime Day, Black Friday and the holidays. The $100 eBay price as of November 7, 2026 is already below the typical range, so it is a good time to buy.
