The Roborock Q5 Plus is a robot vacuum and mop with a self-emptying dock that holds dust for weeks, so you rarely touch the bin. Questions and answers

Is the Q5 Plus worth it at $329.99?
Yes if you want self-emptying without paying flagship prices. At $329.99 it is the only price seen recently, so there is no cheaper moment to wait for.
How often do I empty the dock?
The dock bag holds 0.66 gal, which typically lasts several weeks in an average home. You replace the bag rather than emptying it.
Does it work with Alexa?
The listed assistant support is Google Assistant and Siri. Alexa is not listed, so check the app before relying on it.
How does it handle carpet versus hard floors?
It vacuums both and raises suction on carpet. Mopping is meant for hard floors only, so set no-mop zones on rugs.
What is in the box?
Expect the robot, the self-emptying dock, a mop cloth and a starter dust bag. Extra bags and mop pads are sold separately.
Is it good with pet hair?
Yes. The brush and strong suction pick up pet hair well, and the dock keeps it out of sight for weeks.
