Is the S8 Pro Ultra worth it over the S8?

The Ultra adds the self-emptying, self-washing and self-refilling dock, which is the main reason to pay more. The robot itself has the same 6,000Pa suction and lifting sonic mop. Choose the Ultra if you want minimal daily hands-on work.

Does it work on carpet?

Yes. The mop lifts 6mm when carpet is detected so the pad stays off the pile. Suction is 6,000Pa, and the dual rubber brushes handle hair well.

What Wi-Fi does it need?

It connects only to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. A 5GHz-only network will not work, so enable a 2.4GHz band or guest network during setup.

How long does the battery last and how long to charge?

Runtime is up to 180 minutes, and a full charge takes about 4 hours. Large homes may need a recharge-and-resume cycle.

The listing includes the robot vacuum and its original packaging. Confirm the RockDock Ultra, power cord and any starter bags are present before buying, since the listing does not itemize them.

Flagship robot vacuums usually drop during major sales events and when a successor launches. The best new price found was $1,150 at Mercari as of November 5, 2026.

Our take on the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is a flagship robot vacuum and mop with a self-emptying, self-washing, self-refilling dock. It pairs 6,000Pa suction with a vibrating sonic mop that lifts 6mm on carpet, plus dual rubber brushes and obstacle avoidance. The dock washes and dries the mop, empties dust into a bag rated for about 7 weeks, and refills the 200ml onboard tank from a 3.5L clean-water tank. The best new price is $1,150 at Mercari as of November 5, 2026, the only new listing found.
