Is the Roborock Saros 20 worth it?

It suits homes with mixed carpet and hard floors and awkward thresholds, where the climbing and obstacle detection earn their keep. If you have mostly bare floors and no thresholds, a cheaper Roborock will do most of the same work.

How does it compare with the Saros 10R?

The Saros 20 raises suction to 36,000Pa and adds two-layer threshold climbing up to 8.8 cm. The 10R is the better value if you do not need that climbing ability.

Can it climb stairs or high thresholds?

It crosses thresholds up to 4.5 cm in one step and up to 8.8 cm when split into two layers. It does not climb actual stairs.

How often do I need to empty the dustbin?

The onboard bin is only 0.06 gal, so expect to empty it every few cleans unless the dock handles it. Check that the dock's auto-empty bin is large enough for your home.

Expect the robot, its dock, a mop pad, and a power cord. Confirm the exact bundle with the store, since some listings add spare pads or brushes.

Roborock flagships usually drop during Black Friday and spring sales. Watch the price history chart and buy when the price sits near its recent low.

Our take on the Roborock Saros 20

The Roborock Saros 20 is a flagship robot vacuum and mop with 36,000Pa of suction, a rotating mop pad, and a LiDAR navigation system that scans at 38,400 Hz. It is built to climb thresholds up to 8.8 cm in two layers and to pass under furniture as low as 7.95 cm, and it detects obstacles down to 2 × 2 cm. The dustbin holds only 0.06 gal, so it relies on its dock for emptying. No current price was provided for this page, so check the live comparison before buying.
