Is the Rockland Melrose worth it?

At $37.54 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to guarantee under-seat storage on a flight. If you need to pack more than a night or two of clothes, a larger carry-on makes more sense.

Will it fit under an airline seat?

At 14 by 14 by 9 inches it is sized for most underseat spaces, and the soft body gives a little when pushed. Bulkhead seats and some regional jets have less room, so check your airline's personal-item limit.

How much does it hold?

The interior measures about 8 by 13 by 8 inches, enough for a change of clothes, a laptop or tablet, and toiletries. It is not a substitute for a full-size carry-on.

Does it attach to a larger suitcase?

Yes. A strap on the back slides over the handle of a rolling carry-on so the two move together.

Is the lock TSA-approved?

Yes, it uses a TSA-approved strap lock, so screeners can open it without cutting the strap.
