Is the PodMic USB worth it over the XLR-only PodMic?

Yes if you want plug-and-play USB, DSP and headphone monitoring. The XLR-only PodMic costs less but needs an interface or mixer.

Does it work with both USB and XLR at the same time?

You can connect either output, but the DSP and headphone monitoring work only over USB. Over XLR it behaves as a plain dynamic mic.

Do I need an audio interface?

No. USB-C connects directly to a computer or phone. An interface is only needed if you use the XLR output.

What comes in the box?

The microphone, a USB-C to USB-C cable and a pop filter. No headphones or stand are included.

Is it good for noisy rooms?

The cardioid dynamic capsule rejects more room sound than a condenser, and the onboard noise gate helps further over USB.
