Is the FP-90X worth it over the FP-60X?

If the PHA-50 action and stronger speakers matter to you, yes. The FP-60X saves money but uses a lighter-feeling action and a smaller speaker system.

How heavy is the Roland FP-90X?

It weighs about 52 lb (23.6 kg) without a stand. That is heavy for one person to carry regularly, so a case with wheels helps.

Does the FP-90X have Bluetooth?

Yes. It supports Bluetooth audio and MIDI, and it also has standard MIDI and a 1/8-inch headphone jack.

What is in the box with the FP-90X?

The piano, a power adapter, a music rest and a sustain pedal. A stand and bench are sold separately.

When is the FP-90X cheapest?

It rarely discounts deeply. Holiday sales and bundle promotions are the usual times to see it below its typical street price.

Our take on the Roland FP-90X

The Roland FP-90X is a premium 88-key portable digital piano built around Roland's PHA-50 hybrid wood-and-plastic action with escapement and hammer feel. It uses the PureAcoustic Piano Modeling engine, which models a piano's sound rather than sampling it, and its four-speaker system is unusually strong for a slab piano. At $2,299.99 at Musician's Friend as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the top of the FP line, well above the FP-60X and FP-30X.
