Our take on the Rolling Artificial Christmas Tree Stand for 9'-12' Trees, Black

A metal stand with locking caster wheels that lets you roll a decorated artificial tree into place instead of dragging it. It is built for 6.5 to 7.5 ft trees with trunks up to 1.25 in, and the 22 in base gives a wide footprint. The listing title says 9'-12' trees, but the specs cap it at 7.5 ft, so check your tree height before buying. It is a low-cost accessory, and pricing on stands like this moves little through the season.

Best forOwners of 6.5 to 7.5 ft artificial treesPeople who move the tree between rooms or storageHouseholds where one person sets up the tree aloneHard floors and low-pile carpet
Pros
  • Locking casters hold the tree in place once positioned
  • Rolls a decorated tree without lifting it
  • Wide 22 in base adds stability
  • Metal construction, simple assembly
Cons
  • Title's 9'-12' claim conflicts with the 7.5 ft spec limit
  • Trunk clamp tops out at 1.25 in, too small for thick trunks
  • Color listed as white in the specs, not black
  • Casters can catch on thick carpet or rugs

Questions and answers

Will it hold a 9 ft tree?
No. The specs list a 7.5 ft maximum and a 1.25 in maximum trunk diameter, despite the 9'-12' wording in the title.
Does it work on carpet?
Small casters roll best on hard floors and low-pile carpet. On thick plush carpet they tend to dig in, and you may need to lift the base over the pile.
Do the wheels lock?
Yes. The casters lock so the tree stays put once you roll it into position.
What color is it?
The specs list the stand color as white, while the product name says black. Confirm the color with the store before ordering.
Can one person set up a tree on it?
Yes. Assemble the tree on the stand, then roll it upright into place. Lock the casters before decorating.
