Is the Rome 390 Boss good for beginners?

No. It is rated for advanced riders with a flex of 6, so it is stiffer and less forgiving than entry-level bindings. Beginners are better off with a softer binding.

Will it fit a Burton board with the Channel?

Yes. The 390 Boss mounts to both The Channel and standard 4x2 inserts, so it works on Burton boards and most other brands.

Is it good for park riding?

Yes. Rome lists park as its preferred terrain, and the medium flex and FullWrap platform keep it playful on jumps and rails while still transferring energy on groomers.

Is it splitboard compatible?

No. The 390 Boss is not a splitboard binding and should not be used on a splitboard.

What is the flex rating?

Rome rates it 6 out of 10, described as medium response with maximum energy transfer. That puts it in all-mountain freestyle territory rather than stiff freeride.
