Is this worth it compared with a folding screen?

For a wide or curved opening, yes. A track and blackout curtain cover more space and block light better than most folding screens. A screen needs no drilling and moves easily, so pick that if you rent short-term or want to rearrange often.

Can I cut the track to a shorter length?

The track is flexible PVC over steel and is normally trimmed with a hacksaw to fit. Cut from one end and keep the end caps and mounting brackets spaced evenly. Check the ceiling joists before you commit to a layout.

How much light does the curtain actually block?

Artiss claims about 99% light reduction from the 3-layer fabric. Expect near-total blackout at the curtain itself, with light leaking at the top and sides unless you overlap the ceiling and floor.

The divider curtain, the flexible ceiling track, 14 adjustable hooks and an assembly manual. Mounting screws and anchors are not clearly listed, so check before installing.

At $46.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its two listed new prices. Home and bedding sellers tend to discount around moving season and major sale events.

Our take on the Room Divider Curtain Track Set

This is a ceiling-mounted room divider kit: a 12 ft flexible black track plus a 3-layer blackout curtain that blocks about 99% of light. The track bends into curves, so you can shape a partition around a corner or a bed rather than hanging a straight rod. It ships with 14 adjustable hooks and needs assembly. At $46.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is the lowest of the two new prices listed, so there is little room to wait for a better deal.
