Is 10K gold real gold?

Yes. 10K means 41.7% pure gold alloyed with other metals. It is real gold, but less gold content than 14K or 18K, which is why it costs less and wears slightly harder.

Is this chain solid or hollow?

It is listed as solid, so the links are solid metal rather than hollow tubes. That makes it heavier and more resistant to dents than hollow rope chains.

What length should I pick?

This listing is 18 inches, which sits at the base of the neck. Choose 20 to 24 inches if you want it to hang lower or wear it over a shirt.

Will a pendant fit on it?

A pendant with a bail wider than the chain's 3.1 mm width will slide on. Very small bails may not clear the rope links.

Is $228.90 a good price?

It is the only new price found, at Amazon as of November 5, 2026. Gold chains track the metal price, so compare the gram weight against spot gold before deciding.

How do I care for a 10K rope chain?

Wipe it with a soft cloth and store it flat or hanging to avoid kinks. Take it off before swimming or showering, since chlorine and soap dull the finish.

Our take on the Rope Chain Necklace 10K Yellow Gold - Solid

A solid 10K yellow gold rope chain in an 18-inch length and 3.1 mm width, with a lobster clasp and a bright polished finish. Rope links twist tightly, which gives the chain more visual weight and sparkle than a plain cable chain of the same width. The only new price found is $228.90 at Amazon as of November 5, 2026, so there is no lower competing offer to compare against.
