Our take on the Rosdorf Park Cutright Resin Table Lamp with Black Shade

The Cutright is a 29-inch resin table lamp from Rosdorf Park with a curved metallic base finished in a quatrefoil pattern and a black polyester drum shade. It takes a single compact fluorescent bulb up to 13 W, so it is a low-output accent lamp rather than a room brightener. The 16-inch-deep footprint makes it a better fit on a console or side table than a crowded nightstand. It is a decorative piece first; the sculpted base is the reason to pick it over a plain lamp.

Pros
  • Tall 29-inch profile suits consoles and side tables
  • Quatrefoil pattern on a curved resin base adds visual interest
  • Black polyester shade keeps the look neutral
  • Single 13 W CFL bulb keeps running costs low
  • Rated 4.6 out of 5 across 110 ratings
Cons
  • 13 W CFL cap means dim light, not task lighting
  • Polyester shade is basic and can discolor with heat and age
  • 16-inch depth needs a fairly deep surface
  • Resin base is lighter and less durable than metal or stone
  • CFL bulbs are being phased out; LED replacement needs care

Questions and answers

Is the Cutright lamp bright enough to read by?
Only marginally. It is capped at a single 13 W compact fluorescent bulb, which gives soft accent light. For sustained reading you want a lamp rated for 60 W or more, or an LED with higher lumens.
Can I use an LED bulb instead of a CFL?
Yes, if the bulb fits the socket and stays at or under 13 W. A 13 W LED gives noticeably more light than a 13 W CFL, so it is the better choice now that CFLs are hard to find.
How big is it, and what table does it fit?
It stands 29 inches tall with an 11-inch-wide base and 16-inch depth. That depth means a deep console or a large end table; a narrow nightstand will feel crowded.
Does it have a switch on the lamp or the cord?
The listing does not specify. Most resin table lamps in this style use a rotary socket switch or an in-line cord switch, so confirm before buying if switch placement matters to you.
Is the shade included?
Yes. The black polyester shade ships with the lamp, so you only need to add the bulb.
When is the best time to buy it?
Accent lamps like this usually drop during fall and winter home decor sales and around major holiday promotions. Check the price history before buying rather than paying full list.
