Is the Rosewill Thor NAS worth $139.99?

For a build holding eight or more drives, the price per bay is low and the steel chassis is sturdy. If you only need two or three drives, a smaller case costs less and takes less space.

How many drives can it actually hold?

Up to 11 3.5-inch hard drives and 13 2.5-inch SSDs, according to Rosewill. Filling both counts at once depends on how you use the mounting points and expansion slots.

Does it come with a power supply?

No. It takes a standard ATX power supply, which you buy separately. Count the SATA power connectors you need before buying one for a full drive load.

Will an E-ATX motherboard fit?

Yes, E-ATX is supported. The case is 232 mm wide, so check your board's width and your CPU cooler height against the clearance.

Is it quiet enough for a home office?

It ships with one 140mm PWM fan, which is modest. A case packed with 11 hard drives will be audible, so plan on low-noise drives and fan control.
