- Is the Rothley track worth it over a rigid track?
- If you have a bay window or a curved wall, yes. A rigid track cannot follow the curve, and this one bends by hand without tools. For a plain straight window, a standard straight track is cheaper and simpler.
- Which size should I buy, Standard, Medium or Heavy Duty?
- Standard (7/16" x 11/16") suits light sheers and everyday curtains. Medium (7/16" x 7/8") handles heavier fabrics. Heavy Duty (5/8" x 1-1/4") is for very heavy drapes and only works on gradual curves.
- How much track and how many cartridges do I need?
- Measure the full run, including curves, and order that many feet. Plan on one mounting cartridge every 10 inches, so a 10-foot run needs about 12 cartridges.
- Can I use it outdoors or in a sunroom?
- Yes. The track is UV rated for outdoor use. The PVC and metal spine hold up to sun, but check that your brackets and hooks are also rated for outdoor use.
- What happens if I order the wrong length?
- Because the track is cut to order, returns are charged a 25% restocking fee. Measure twice and add a little extra for curves before ordering.
- Does it work on a drop ceiling?
- Yes, with the 6155 clamp, which is sold separately. The clamp attaches the track to drop-ceiling grid without drilling into the tiles.
