What can I make with these looms?

Hats, scarves, socks, shawls, gloves and simple tubes. The 9 and 11 inch looms suit adult hats; the 5 and 7 inch looms suit baby hats, socks and cuffs.

Is this good for a beginner?

Yes. Round looms are the easiest entry to loom knitting, and the set includes a hook and yarn needle. You will likely need a video tutorial, since printed instructions are thin.

What yarn weight works best?

Worsted and bulky yarns work best on fixed-peg plastic looms. Fine fingering yarn will look loose and is better on a fine-gauge loom.

Four round looms (5, 7, 9 and 11 inch), four pompom makers, one hook needle and one yarn needle, for 10 pieces total.

Is it safe for children?

The listing rates it for adults, and the hook has a pointed tip. Supervise older kids and keep the hook away from young children.

When is the best time to buy?

Craft kits like this often drop around back-to-school and holiday sales. Check the price history before buying.

Our take on the Round Looms Set

A 10-piece plastic loom-knitting kit with four round looms in 5, 7, 9 and 11 inch diameters, four pompom makers, a hook needle and a yarn needle. The looms are molded ABS with smooth rims and fixed pegs, sized for hats, scarves, socks and small tubes. It is a low-cost starter set rather than a precision tool, so expect basic plastic hardware.
